Every girl has their fashion vice. Whether it’s shoes, purses or jewelry, there is always that one item you just can’t get enough of.

For many women, having enough room to display their shoe collection is a task that is hardly accomplishable, unless you have the budget and square footage to build a shoe closet like Mariah Carey.

Instead, there are little tricks that will help organize the chaos and let your soles stand in glory.

First thing is first, you have to, dare I say it, get rid of some shoes. The first step in organizing anything is to get rid of the items not being used.

Those pumps you bought, wore once, fell, and could never wear again…get rid of them.

I know it’s painful, and I know they’re cute, but they are taking up valuable space. It’s time for them to go.

Once you have cleared out the old, worn out and retired shoes of the past, decide how you want to best organize your shoes based on what is the most convenient for you.

If you have a built in shoe rack in your closet then consider buying shoe bins. These clear plastic bins are stackable, thus creating more space for your shoes.

You can put a picture of the shoes on the front of the box so you know what you are looking for.

Another tip is for those who love boots.

Boots are difficult because they take up a lot of room if stored in boxes, but this nifty gadget is a life saver.

They are called The Boot Hanger, and can be found on Amazon. It’s a small hanger with a clip attached. You can easily clip your boot to it and hang them up.

For knee high boots, try using pool noodles cut to the length of the boot to allow them to stand upright.

And if you’re still running low on space consider buying a shoe rack that hangs on the back of your closet door.

These cloth shoe organizers have multiple pockets great for storing tennis shoes, sandals and flip flops. You can even find ones that hang on the closet rod, but we all know sometimes we need that valuable hanging space.
