Arizona Cardinals’ All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson hosted the second annual Celebs and Steaks at Donovan’s Steak and Chop House on Monday, November 16, 2015 to benefit the Patrick Peterson Foundation for Success.
Peterson and his Arizona Cardinals teammates traded in their jerseys and helmets for plates and name tags, serving guests amazing cuisine courtesy of Donovan’s Steak and Chop House.
General admission tickets and VIP tickets sold quickly in support of Peterson’s foundation. Guests were treated to a VIP pre-event cocktail mixer, and the tables were filled with Signature Series Cardinals Footballs for celebrities to autograph.
The evening also featured an exciting live and silent auction. Some of the popular auction items sold were a Montelucia Resort staycation, Muhammed Ali vs. Joe Frazier autographed Fight Night poster, an autographed Godfather poster, exotic car driving experience in Las Vegas, and courtside seats to a Denver Nuggets basketball game.
SmartFem interviewed Peterson and his fellow teammates, as well as some of the people who came out for the event.
Proceeds from the evening benefit the Patrick Peterson Foundation for Success, whose mission is to provide inner city youth and Title I schools with books and educational resources so that they may reach their full potential. The evening was a night to remember as the foundation exceeded their goals and raised over 250,000 dollars.
The Foundation was started in 2013 with its goal to make an impact on the lives of more than 30,000 at-risk Arizona youth by the end of 2015. For more information please visit patrickpeterson.org.
