In Order for the women’s movement to continue, we need more strong, empowered and excited women. The 2016 Election left many liberal women feeling hopeless and without a path, and more right leaning women looking for leadership and direction.

The fight for women’s rights is part of the fundamental movement toward equality. Each new generation brings more women born with a new passion, egar to continue the fight for women’s rights. In 1920 women gained the right to vote, but it took thousands of women, fighting and working together to seek equality. Let’s keep the torch lit and moving.

So, for all the fighting feminists looking for answers, wanting doors to knock on and new glass ceilings to break– We’ve got the organization for you.

Here are 10 Feminist organizations you can join today to keep the movement alive.

1) The International Alliance of Women (IAW)

The first Organization on our list gets the top spot because it’s one of the oldest, biggest and influential feminist organizations. The Organization was founded in 1904, and focuses on women’s human rights and overall gender equality.

2) Emily’s list.

Emily’s list a Pro-Woman Democrat Fundraising and Campaign movement created by Ellen R. Malcolm in 1985. The organization works to get women elected in politics. Self described by saying, “We are a driving force behind many of the campaign victories that bring the progressive decision making power of pro-choice Democratic women to office.”

3) WOMEN VOTE!

WOMEN VOTE! is an organization underneath the parent Organization “Emily’s List,” which works as the grassroots movement to get out the vote for female candidates.

4) The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List)

The Organization gets its name from the concept that early feminists (1800’s) were opposed to abortion. With almost three hundred thousand members, SBA list is one of the largest pro-life, feminist organizations.

5) Arizona List

For our Arizonan readers– Arizona List seeks to help elect pro-choice Democratic women to local, state and federal office. Providing financial support and training, the Arizona List helps to empower women running for office.

6) League of Women Voters

With chapters in all fifty states, the League of Women Voters is perhaps best known for its voter guides and for the candidate forums it hosts. The League also seeks to advocate for issues relevant to women such as climate change, equal pay and contraceptive access.

The Independent Women’s Forum is a conservative and free market organization that seeks to education and engage women. The Forum discusses issues pertinent to women from a conservative perspective with the goal of promoting free markets and limited government.

A national organization founded by Alexis Jones, I Am That Girl helps young women transform self-doubt into self-love. I Am That Girl changes the conversation associated with and by women by hosting chapter meetings across the nation with open and affirming dialogue.
